Not to be out done by JetBlue, Virgin Airlines announced a sale on nationwide fares and the Caribbean starting at $39 one-way.  Sample fares are below and assume 7-day advance purchase:

• $119 - Boston to LA
• $129 - NYC to San Fran
• $129 - NYC to Vegas

Sale good on travel Monday-Thursdays and Saturdays from September 14th to October 6th.  Travel October 7th to November 17th are available on all routes for an additional $10.  Restrictions, taxes and fees apply so review site for more details.
